 <\/p>\n

The Banking Department carries out reception and preparation of students in the following areas (within the specialty 072 “Finance, Banking and Insurance”):<\/span><\/p>\n

– Junior Bachelor (Educational program: “Finance, Banking and Insurance”)<\/span><\/p>\n

– Bachelor (Educational Program “International Banking Business”)<\/span><\/p>\n

– Master (Educational program “Bank Management in the Financial Market”)<\/span><\/p>\n

– Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) (Educational Program “Finance, Banking and Insurance”)<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The Banking Department has its history since the founding of the Odessa Credit and Economic Institute (OKEI, 1931) and is only 10 years younger than the university. In 1931, the Money Circulation, Finance and Credit Department was formed in OKEI to train highly qualified specialists for the system of the State Bank of the USSR. In parallel, since 1936, the institute has a department of credit affairs.<\/span><\/p>\n

Throughout its history, the department has been an advanced research and training center for banking in the South of Ukraine.<\/span><\/p>\n

Over the last decade, the department has been actively developing and improving, increasing its human resources. The lecturers of the department have defended 4 doctoral and about two dozen candidate dissertations, which proves the high level of scientific and professional skills of the department staff.<\/span><\/p>\n

Scientific activity<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Scientific activity is carried out in the following areas:<\/span><\/p>\n

– implementation of a comprehensive research topic “Development of theoretical and methodological provisions of the risk management system in banks”,<\/span><\/p>\n

– implementation of self-supporting topics “Methodological bases for intensifying the interaction of banking and real sectors of the economy in Ukraine” (Farm “Pomegranate”, February 15-June 15, 2019), “Organization of relations between the bank and customers in terms of digitalization” (PJSC “MTB”, March 15- June 15, 2020), “Assessment of the competitive environment in the credit market of Ukraine” PJSC “MTB”, March 24 – June 24, 2021,<\/span><\/p>\n

– participation of lecturers in scientific conferences, preparation of monographs, textbooks and manuals,<\/span><\/p>\n

– preparation of candidate dissertations by graduate students and applicants, research work of students.<\/span><\/p>\n

The research results of scientists of the department are reflected in many publications of different levels. Professors and associate professors of the department take part in international and all-Ukrainian scientific conferences.<\/span><\/p>\n

The scientific activity of the scientists of the department allows to qualitatively manage the scientific researches of students and post-graduate students. Our students constantly win prizes at all-Ukrainian conferences and competitions in banking.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

International activity<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

The activity of the department in the field of international cooperation is to support and initiate international activities aimed at attracting international experience to improve the skills and capacity of faculty, improve the quality of student training in the integration of ONEU in the European and world educational and scientific space.<\/span><\/p>\n

In order to strengthen existing relations with foreign institutions of higher education, the department has concluded cooperation agreements with the Academy of Economics named D.A. Tsenova, Finance and Credit Department (Svishtov, Bulgaria), 2017, Azerbaijan State Economic University (Baku, Azerbaijan), 2017, Belarusian State Economic University, Department of Accounting, Analysis and Audit in the fields of the national economy (Minsk, Belarus), 2020.<\/span><\/p>\n

To establish international relations, lecturers of the department are undergoing internships in foreign countries, are on business trips abroad. To the actualization of the possibility of participation in international academic programs there are favoring trips of lecturers abroad with reports at scientific conferences, seminars and round tables.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>As part of academic mobility, programs and scholarships are provided by foreign organizations, so students study abroad without leaving work at ONEU.<\/span><\/p>\n

Lecturers of the department actively demonstrate the potential of working with international grant programs and projects: participation in the grant project Integra617490-EPP-1-2020-1-MD-EPPKA2-CBHE-SP “Integrating dual higher education in Moldova and Ukraine”, EU ERASMUS + program under CBHE, 2020 (valid for 2021-2024)<\/span><\/p>\n

In order to professionally discuss key issues and find solutions to current problems in banking of different countries, establish contacts between scientists, expand areas of international cooperation with universities, exchange research and practical experience, for 6 years the banking department has been organizing and conducting international and international scientific and practical Internet conferences on the basis of Odessa National Economic University, which are included in the List of scientific conferences on higher education and science in the system of MESU:<\/span><\/p>\n
