GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The project to create a platform for university innovation and economic development is an initiative that will become an important tool for commercializing scientific developments, promoting innovation, and strengthening interaction between universities, researchers, and business.The project is implemented within the framework of the European Union Framework Programme for Research and Innovation “Horizon 2020” on behalf of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
PROJECT SUMMARY
The project “Creation of a Platform for University Innovation and Economic Development (InnoHub)” is implemented by the Odessa National Economic University (ONEU) on behalf of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine within the framework of the European Union Framework Program “Horizon 2020”.
The project is aimed at supporting the innovative activities of students and scientists at universities, as well as at developing the startup ecosystem in the Odessa region through the creation of an innovation platform that will facilitate the commercialization of scientific developments.
PROJECT GOALS
1. Creation of a platform to support innovative activities
Providing infrastructure and an environment that will facilitate the commercialization of scientific developments and the development of startups at the university.
2. Support for the development of the startup ecosystem
Activating the involvement of young innovators, students and scientists in innovation activities by providing access to the necessary resources and mentoring support.
3. International integration and cooperation
Establishing cooperation with international partners to exchange knowledge and integrate Ukrainian startups into the European innovation ecosystem.
PROJECT TASK
1. Infrastructure for innovation
Equipping office premises, creating co-working spaces for startups and providing the material and technical base for the platform to function.
2. Technology transfer
Creating mechanisms for implementing scientific research results in the real sector of the economy, including interaction with investors and preparation of contracts to support projects.
3. Educational support and training
Development and implementation of training programs, seminars and workshops for students, scientists and entrepreneurs to develop innovative business skills.
4. International cooperation
Establishing close ties with European partners to study best practices in startup support and technology transfer.
EXPECTED RESULTS
1. Creation of an innovation platform
A functioning startup support platform that will provide access to resources, mentoring support and infrastructure for the development of innovative ideas.
2. Increasing the commercialization of scientific developments
Thanks to the introduction of technology transfer mechanisms, it is expected that the number of commercialized scientific developments and startups based on university innovations will increase.
3. Involvement of young innovators
Conducting training programs and master classes will help improve the business competencies of young researchers and students, involving them in innovative activities.
4. Expanding international cooperation
Established international cooperation will contribute to the integration of Ukrainian startups into international innovation markets and expand funding opportunities through participation in the Horizon Europe program.
