The main areas of activity of the Trade union organization of students and the student government of the Odessa National Economic University are:
- protection of the rights and interests of students;
- providing information, legal, social, psychological, financial assistance to students;
- cooperation with the university administration on the organization of the educational process;
- control over the academic and labor discipline of students, prompting of response to their violation;
- participation in solving issues of international cooperation;
- organizing of scientific, sports, creative activities of students, promotion of a healthy lifestyle;
- assistance to students, who want to realize themselves in the scientific direction with the assistance of the scientific student society, assistance in organisating of student conferences and competitions;
- organizing of ceremonial events at the university;
- organizing of proper living, recreation and other activities of students in dormitories (“Best Room” competition);
- organizing and conducting regular charity events in orphanages, the functioning of the headquarters of the International Charitable Foundation “Heart to Heart”;
- organizing of student correspondence of the Economist newspaper;
- recreation in the summer student camp “The Economist” (Karolino-Bugaz);
- organizing and conductin tourist trips for students (Uman, Carpathians, etc.);
- organizing of cooperation with students of other universities, popularization of our university.
