4th-year students of the speciality «Marketing and International Logistics» completed the «ERP based on SAP» training. The training took place under the supervision of Kirill Vasilchenko, senior lecturer of the Department of Marketing and International Logistics, and other university lecturers. The course program aimed at giving students practical skills in working with ERP systems, which significantly increased their competitiveness in the business market. SAP for ONE is a modern ERP system that allows you to simulate an enterprise’s business processes, from purchasing and selling to financial significance. During learning, the student is able to independently experience the functions of various parts of the virtual enterprise, which helps to understand the interaction of all business processes. A special feature of the course was its focus on practice: all the tasks were concluded in minds as close as possible to the real ones, and the investors promptly gave a turnaround and helped straighten the settlements. SAP implementation opens up new career prospects for our students, and international companies with established structures require knowledge of ERP systems. We welcome students who have completed their training and, hopefully, new professional achievements!

Theory and practice: second-year students studied at the Odessa Zoo.
The effectiveness of the educational process increases significantly when practical classes support theoretical knowledge. The teachers of the discipline «Ecological Marketing» adopted this principle, organizing a unique class for second-year students on the territory of the Odessa Zoo—one of the key places in the city.
During the visit, the students had the opportunity not only to observe the life of the zoo’s inhabitants but also to conduct a practical analysis of this institution’s marketing activities. Future specialists will study how the zoo promotes its services, interacts with visitors, and develops its reputation as an environmentally responsible institution. In addition, each student received an individual task: to develop recommendations for improving the zoo’s marketing strategies.
This practical class became a meaningful experience for young people, helping to combine theoretical knowledge with real situations. In addition, while completing the tasks, the students received a positive charge of inspiration from the zoo inhabitants — they sincerely supported the future marketers with their presence.
The event organizers hope that this combination of theory and practice will contribute to the formation of new environmentally friendly marketing approaches.
Such practical classes are essential to modern education, as they allow students to immerse themselves in actual conditions where their knowledge can be applied in practice. This experience will begin new ideas and solutions in environmental marketing.

On February 8, the best students of the Odessa National Economic University began their internship at the logistics company Star Shine Shipping.
After all, two years ago, a branch of the Marketing Department was opened at the enterprise. According to the director of Star Shine Shipping, Oleksandr Vynnyk, during the internship, students will keep video diaries and participate in marketing experiments, understanding the realities of modern business. They will be provided computers for classes and access to the company’s working documentation.
After Oleksandr Vynnyk’s tour of the office, the students themselves noted that Star Shine Shipping is like a dream company.
The head of the internships is Yuriy Mykolayovych Sotnikov, deputy head of the university’s Marketing Department of the Faculty of International Economics. Today, at a meeting with students and employees of the company, he said that during the internship, students will gain skills in carrying out transport operations, forming optimal routes for the movement of goods and using transport corridors, and learning to assess market potential.
Yuriy Sotnikov admitted that the best students from the Faculty of International Economics, majoring in Marketing and International Logistics, came to Star Shine Shipping. Thirty-seven students were sent to the city’s enterprises for internships.

On October 30, in the busiest part of Odessa, several dozen future students came one step closer to their dream of becoming successful entrepreneurs. They used their skills in logistics. Taking part in the business quest «Logistics in a Big City», the guys learned that organizing logistics flows is not that difficult! The «Logistic girls» team proved this by their example! They combined creative thinking and an unconventional approach to business and earned as much as $620 in just 1 hour. And you can see how it happened in the photo:

Under your leadership, the Marketing Department reached a new level, allowing you to get the best education in the marketing field.
Thanks to you, students had the opportunity to study the discipline of «Internet Marketing» for the first time in a Ukrainian university. The textbooks written under your authorship have become a source of unique knowledge.
We wish you to meet daily with new strength, brilliant ideas, bright hopes, great opportunities and an excellent mood.
May your work be easy and all circumstances in your life be as good as possible.
Happy Birthday, dear Iryna Lvоvna!

On September 16-17, 2019, the Department of Marketing and FME held a traditional Excursion for first-year students to a state-owned enterprise of strategic scale — the Odessa Aviation Plant!
Our first-year FME students, led by their curators, Associate Professor Sotnikov Yuriy Mykolayovych and Mavrov Stanislav Dmytrovych, had a unique opportunity to visit a functioning aircraft factory, which had been closed to outside visitors for many years.
The historian of the aircraft factory, Anatoly Mikhailovich Shevchenko, conducted an excellent excursion for students, full of rare facts about the first aircraft in pre-revolutionary Odesa, about pilots Yefimov and Utochkin, and also spoke about the modern achievements of Ukrainian aircraft construction.
We touched on the secrets of the production process, from engine assembly to body painting. We mainly saw the result of aircraft made for export orders to Croatia, France, the Czech Republic, and Uganda.
Impressed by what we saw, we were convinced for the first time that marketing can, and most importantly, be applied in any industry to achieve leadership positions within Ukraine and throughout the world!

Did you know that today is the birthday of not only our hero city of Odessa but also of our department’s excellent and experienced teacher — Olga Osnach? She is not only an honoured scientist, a professional associate professor, and the author of the most cited textbooks on industrial marketing and commodity science, but also a bearer of the ancient traditions of the marketing department, as well as a source of invaluable knowledge, which we carefully pass on to the new generation of students and teachers!
Olga Osnach, we sincerely congratulate you on your Anniversary! We wish you good health, optimism and well-being!!!

It’s time to sum up the results of ADVERTISING-FEST 2019!
Our student creativity competition evokes many different feelings and emotions!
This year, we tried to make it genuinely summery — on the seashore, at ONEU’s native base, «Economist», so that our dear participants could combine business with pleasure — relaxation with a demonstration of their advertising talents!
Another difference was the new format: the association with the «Advertising Polygon» project, the brainchild of our esteemed jury chairman, Yevhen Viktorovych Romat, chairman of the Union of Advertisers of Ukraine.
So, in the category «Printed Advertising», the jury of our competition distributed its advantages as follows:
1st place and a cash prize of 2000 UAH — «Donor Like», author Lytvynova Vira Volodymyrivna from Kyiv National University named after T.H. Shevchenko;
2nd place and a cash prize of 1000 UAH — after a heated discussion, it was decided to award two works at once: «Birdy Granola», authored by Major Yevgenia from Odessa National University of Economics, and «A Reason for Carlsberg», authored by Slipchenko Vladislav Oleksandrovych from Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics;
3rd place was not awarded to any work due to the decision on 2nd place.
The following works received special prizes from our partner — the handmade cosmetics brand «Medovaya» in this category:
«Smittevik» — authored by Lytvynova Vira Volodymyrivna, Kyiv National University, named after T.H. Shevchenko,
«Corrector» — authored by Radchenko Veronika, Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics,
«Heart for Silpo» — authored by Kogler Tamara Vernerovna, Odessa National University of Economics.
In the «Video Advertising» category, the jury decided to award the following works with consolation prizes from our partner, the handmade cosmetics brand «Medovaya»:
«Relax» by Travin Evgeniya Anatolyivna from Kyiv University, named after Borys Grinchenko;
«Don’t Get Behind the Wheel» by the «Kooperatists» team from Ternopil Cooperative Trade and Economics College;
«Adidas Sneakers» by Bostan Anna from Odessa National Economic University;
«Google Play Music» by Kogler Tamara from Odessa National Economic University.
The main prizes were distributed as follows:
1st place and a cash prize of UAH 5,000 went to Yakovenko Serhiy Volodymyrovych, the author of the work «Ballpoint Pen» from Kharkiv National Economic University;
2nd place was not awarded;
For the video ” Nova Poshta, ” Shevchenko Dmytro Vasylyovych from Chernihiv National Technological University won 3rd place and a cash prize of 1500 UAH!
Congratulations to the students on their victory! We are sure that your successes will inspire you to create new advertising creativity.
We want to thank the students of the «Marketing» and «International Logistics» specialities, who helped organize the festival process, from decorating locations, setting up equipment, conducting photo and video support, registration, coffee breaks, and even confronting difficult weather conditions! Without your teamwork, nothing would have worked out for us!
It should be noted that the marketing department team, led by Iryna Lvivna Litovchenko—the main ideological inspirer of ADVERTISING-FEST—worked like a well-coordinated orchestra as always! All PHOTOS

📌On February 20, the dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management, Bespalov V.M., a teacher of the Department of Marketing, Avdienko Ya.A., and the Department of Tourism, Necheva N.V., visited a secondary school in the village of Raukhivka, Odessa region👥
During the meeting, a presentation of specialities was held for students in grades 9-11, and at the end, a quiz called «Guess the Advertisement».
We want to express our gratitude to the Marketing Department of ONEU, represented by Zharska I.A., for organizing the meeting, the management for the warm welcome, and the students for their interest and activity.
We will be glad to see you in the walls of our university!

📌On February 12, 2019, first-year students of the Faculty of Economics and Management majoring in Marketing visited the library of the first building of ONEU and got acquainted with the possibilities of using library resources for the educational process📕
It should be noted that the library is one of the oldest cultural institutions, known since ancient times. Nowadays, the library has evolved from a repository of books to a universal source of information, especially necessary in educational institutions to ensure the educational process of bachelors, masters, and postgraduates, for the scientific work of teachers, for cultural development and emotional satisfaction. As Mark
Twain noted: «He who does not read has no advantage over him who cannot read.» Although there are numerous Internet resources, radio, television, cinema, etc., in the modern world, nothing can fully replace a book that preserves the warmth of the soul and hands of authors, proofreaders, editors, and printers. Reading a book or magazine in your hands, in silence and comfort, is not the same impression you get when browsing Internet publications or an electronic reader, especially since not all articles or books are in digital format. For a modern person, classic books and magazines complement the capabilities of electronic resources, significantly expanding the range of available information.
Library employees — Oksana Anatoliivna Gerasimova, Kateryna Mikhailivna Drychikova, Kateryna Yuriivna Stolyarova, Irina Stanislavivna Khortyuk — familiarized first-year students with information about the history of the development of the ONEU library — the most extensive economic library in the region, about its structure and rules for using the library fund, about the available book funds in printed and electronic form. The female part of the students was particularly interested in the information about the enormous fund of fiction.
I liked the informative presentation on the possibilities of using electronic resources and scientometric databases conducted by Kateryna Valeriivna Panaytova. Students were particularly interested in remote access to information databases, offering to show this technology for familiarization with the latest articles of the rector of ONEU, Professor, Corresponding Member of the Academy of Sciences of Ukraine M.I. Zveryakov, and the head of the marketing department, Professor Iryna Lvovna Lytovchenko.
Students were even interested in dissertations and dissertation abstracts stored in the library reading room, which they considered the most solid and fundamental source for preparing course and diploma theses.
The path to professional growth for novice marketers has become more apparent, broader, and more enjoyable.

📌November 11 — International Marketing Day and World Shopping Day! 🎉
The department is very creative about this event — each group of our speciality has prepared a creative greeting for their favourite teachers!
So, groups 55 and 35 have prepared competitions for brand knowledge and recognition of opinion leaders belonging to different product categories with sweet prizes! 2nd and 4th-year marketers have prepared funny videos about the pressing problems of students’ lives at ONEU! First-year students have delighted us with cheerful songs and even dance numbers!
Overall, the holiday was a great success! Special thanks to the already well-coordinated team of presenters, sound engineers, design, and the refined work of curators led by Baranivska Marina Igorevna!

📌October 25 is celebrated in Ukraine as the Day of the Marketer.
Our department decided to time this event with a Student Conference, in which marketing students of all courses participated, making this event genuinely solemn!
Students wrote as many as 13 reports on relevant and vital marketing topics, from the features of naming, branding, and the use of NLP in advertising to the development of video hosting and blockchain technologies.
It is essential to note the no less interesting reports of students of the Faculty of Economics and Finance and the Faculty of Economics and Finance, dedicated to the psychology of colour influence, service and ecological marketing!
Following the speeches, the teachers of the Department of Marketing chose the best report, which was written by Kogler Tamara, a student of group 55. The audience award went to Momotenko Kateryna, a student of group 35.
Special thanks to our presenters, Sergey Shulza and Margarita, and to the sound engineer, Vlad Gozun.

📌On October 3, 2018, 1st-year students of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering had a unique opportunity to visit the Odessa Aviation Plant✈
On October 3, 2018, future marketers, and so far 1st-year students of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, led by the head of the department, Iryna Lvovna Litovchenko and associate professor Oleksandr Valentinovich Obnyavko, had a unique opportunity to visit state-owned enterprise of a strategic scale — the Odessa Aviation Plant!
Enormous pride fills all of us with the realization that in our hero city, there is, despite any economic difficulties, an aircraft factory is functioning! Imagine our surprise when we learned that the history of domestic aviation has been more than 108 years!
Thanks to the interesting and heartfelt story of the aircraft factory historian Anatoly Mikhailovich Shevchenko, we learned rare facts about the first aeroplanes in pre-revolutionary Odesa, about the pilot Yefimov and the founder of the Anatra plant, whose surname was given to the most popular aircraft of the 20th century, as well as about the modern achievements of Ukrainian aircraft manufacturing.
The aircraft factory is located in an area of over 23 hectares. Today, the enterprise employs about 1,500 employees. We managed to look «behind the scenes» of the production process, consider its various stages — from engine assembly to body painting. We also saw the finished products — airplanes made for export orders to Croatia, France, the Czech Republic and even Uganda.
I would like to express my gratitude to Alexander Ivanovich for the opportunity for our students to get acquainted with such an unusual and valuable production, which is not available in every country.
Understanding the significance and uniqueness of what is happening, we are once again convinced that marketing is a universal tool of modern business designed to gain leadership positions in any industry!

Marketing Day November 14 (2014).
On November 11, students and faculty jointly organized a celebration dedicated to International Marketing Day. All groups took an active part in preparing the celebration. The performances were incredibly passionate, sometimes in a good way eccentric, cheerful and intellectual: from funny videos about the «difficult» student life to quizzes to test erudition in the field of their future professional activities.

On December 25, 2014, at a meeting of the specialized academic council D 41.055.03, the defense of the candidate’s thesis of the lecturer of the marketing department, Shkurupskaya Iryna Oleksandrivna, took place. The topic was «Integrated marketing communications of enterprises in the solar energy equipment market», scientific supervisor — Doctor of Economics, Associate Professor Lytovchenko I. L.
The department staff sincerely congratulates the candidate on a successful defense!

Excursion to the Museum of Interesting Science (2015)

Scientific Student Conference (held every year on April 10).
The relevance of choosing a marketing specialization for an economist is due not only to the high demand in the market for qualified personnel but also to the need to consider the often changing needs of clients of a modern enterprise to ensure the effectiveness of its activities. In addition, it is becoming increasingly important for small and medium-sized businesses to see and evaluate competitors, keep their finger on the market’s pulse, assess their strengths and weaknesses, focus on the «right» target audience or develop market niches.
Studying in the speciality «Marketing», you will learn to set marketing goals, strategically plan sales, and optimally form a «marketing complex» of goods and services. Training at the Department of «Marketing» covers a list of marketing disciplines, from the policy of forming a product line and effective advertising campaigns to meaningful pricing, creating the foundation for forming a highly qualified competitive specialist.
