Agreement on cooperation between ONEU and the consortium of 7 European universities U!REKA

A cooperation agreement has been recently signed between ONEU and the consortium of 7 European universities U!REKA (the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences; Edinburgh Napier University; HOGENT University of Applied Sciences and Arts; Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences; Metropolia University of Applied Sciences in Helsinki; VSB – Technical University of Ostrava; and Politécnico de Lisboa).

On November 14, 2022, a working meeting of representatives of ONEU and U!REKA took place. ONEU was represented by:

Oleksandr Litvinov – vice-rector for scientific work;

Ruslana Kuzina – head of the UNEU Academic Council Commission on International Cooperation;

Maryna Slatvinska – head of the Department of Finance;

Oksana Volkova – associate Professor of the Department of Finance;

Iryna Tyshchenko – Coordinator of ONEU grant programs.

 

Representatives of U!REKA:

Khrystyna Marques – coordinator of the Office of International Relations and Academic Mobility of the Polytechnic Institute of Lisbon (Portugal);

Eva Haug is a consultant for the internationalization of studies and collaborative international online learning (COIL) at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (AUAS). (Netherlands);

Maren Pannemann – Research Funding Advisor at Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (AUAS) (Netherlands);

Richard Lancaster – Edinburgh Napier University (Scotland);

Gabriela Jacobsen – communications and strategic partnership, Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences (Germany).

At the meeting were discussed the issues of implementation of the clauses of the agreement regarding cooperation in scientific research, in the preparation of grant applications, academic mobility of employees and applicants, provision of technical assistance to ONEU.

Cooperation of ONEU with The Urban Research and Education Knowledge Alliance (U!REKA)

In order to involve ONEU in the European network of applied research, exchange of experience in the field of education, ONEU signed a Memorandum of Understanding with The Urban Research and Education Knowledge Alliance (U!REKA) on October 14, 2022.

The U!REKA Alliance was founded in 2016 and unites 7 higher education institutions in Europe: Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (Netherlands); Edinburgh Napier University (Scotland); Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences (Germany), Metropolitan University of Applied Sciences (Finland), University of Applied Sciences and Arts HOGENT (Belgium); Technical University of Ostrava (Czech Republic) (VSB), Polytechnic University of Lisbon (Portugal).

The U!REKA Alliance successfully cooperates in the field of education and research and plans to implement joint projects with ONEU to ensure exchange of students and scientists, organization of joint research and scientific activities.

In the conditions of war, ONEU not only continues the educational process, but also deepens its international activities with European Universities for the future of its students. In turn, the Memorandum with U!REKA is evidence that higher education institutions in Europe support Ukrainian universities during the war, are ready to exchange educational experience and involve Ukrainian universities in their community.

📌Cooperation between ONEU and the University of Aberystwyth

Dear academics, postgraduates and students!

 

Following the meeting of the administration of the ONEU and the University of Aberystwyth, which took place on May 16, we invite applicants (students, postgraduates) and academics wishing to participate in the following forms of the academic mobility:

1) participation of students, post graduates and academics in the Summer School and Island Programs at the University of Aberystwyth for 2 weeks in July and August 2022, which includes hort-term programs in English or professional areas (economics, accounting, finance, management, marketing and tourism). Aberystwyth University provides accommodation and tuition for free.

2) online free of charge training courses of the University of Aberystwyth in the autumn semester with obtaining ECTS credits and transferring them to the ONEU system;

3) accommodation of the academic staff of our university for teaching and conducting online classes at ONEU (for ONEU academics with free office space and housing at the University of Aberystwyth);

4) enrollment of applicants for free studying at the University of Aberystwyth for the autumn semester under the academic mobility program.

The requirement to participate in the program is the B1-B2 levels of English language knowledge (depending on the type of the academic mobility). The first step to participate in academic mobility programs is to fill in the registration form by May 21.
